Employees have little or knowledge of plants, always on phone asking other employees. They must not want to sell anything because everything is over priced. Somethings as much as 3 times usual cost at other garden centers. Go to JOHN DEERE Landscapes on up the road.

At first glance Hewitts looks like the Garden of Eden, but when you pull back the curtain it is far from paradise. 1. They are so over price, they're in a league of their own 2. The employees are completely helpless (can't find good help if your paying minimal wage) except for a handful (John, Jose, etc.) 3. Management is un-organized, rude, & greedy. I'm totally shocked they have managed to stay in business this long. I use to own a Landscaping company and dealt with them on several occasions, and all my opinions come from my experience with them. I would strongly recondmend driving several more minutes down Hillsboro Rd. to John Deere Landscaping where the pricing is reasonable and the customer service is good. 1. One thing Hewitts does have a nice selection of Christmas trees; pricey but nice.

I became acquainted with hewitt's because they had a booth at the lawn and garden show several years ago. They had a cute little bunny or something from their gift shop - Verbena's and so my husband and I went down there mainly to see the gift shop. Then sometime later I inquired about a landscape designer on staff with them and he came and gave me a beautiful design ( which I put in myself). I buy a lot from them and am so pleased with the service. The ladies with the hats on usually know all the answers to my questions. I just love going down there. I have to stop myself from buying more than I can plant!
