Hope dog was treated better than I was

Took our newly rescued dog to McKay's Mill Animal Hospital to be fixed, get a full check up, shots and a haircut. While I think the care that my dog got was probably fine, the service at the animal hospital is TERRIBLE. When we picked him up, I expected to be able to talk to the vet or at least a vet tech. Wrong! I explained to the woman working at the front desk that we were hoping to get some more information about our dog and how to care for him and she just kept saying, "Looks like he's fine" as she sorted through the paperwork. It took her a full 20 minutes to check us out. I can't imagine how bad it would have been had anyone else been in the lobby. I asked if we needed to do anything for heartworm ---and she said, "Oh yeah . . . you need to buy some of these." Took another 10 minutes to figure out how much they cost. No explanation on how to administer. We will not return to this animal hospital. If anyone with any vet training had bothered to speak with us, I would have told them myself.
